Report: Israel-Hamas Ceasefire Talks to Resume Sunday in Cairo

Ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas are set to recommence in Cairo on Sunday, as reported by Egypt’s Al Qahera News, citing a security source.
An Israeli official told Reuters that a delegation from Israel will be heading to Cairo on Sunday. However, a Hamas official told Reuters that the group intends to await updates from Cairo mediators regarding the outcome of their discussions with Israel beforehand.
Negotiations, facilitated by Qatar and Egypt, have intensified, focusing on a proposed six-week ceasefire of Israel’s offensive in exchange for the potential release of 40 out of the 130 hostages still held by the terror group in Gaza.
