Alleged Car Thieves Plow Into Brooklyn WIC Center
By Matis Glenn
Police say that a group of men slammed a stolen car and dragged a parked vehicle into a Kensington WIC office Wednesday morning, causing heavy damage, but no injuries were reported.
The suspects are believed to have stolen a black Ford Expedition SUV from a car wash, and as they were fleeing, they lost control of the vehicle and hit a parked Honda Accord before dragging it into the front of the WIC center located at 485 Coney Island Avenue, near Church Avenue. The stolen Ford rammed directly into the building’s front wall.
After the crash, which occurred at around 11:15 a.m., the suspects fled the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time; police say the investigation is ongoing.
