The IDF reported on Sunday morning that they killed the terrorist responsible for the killing of Reserve Officer Maj. (Res.) Amishar Ben David, Hy”d.

Maj. (Res.) Ben David, 43, who served as the head of the Commando Brigade chief’s forward command team, was killed in southern Gaza on Friday. His funeral is scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, in central Gaza, Israeli forces took action, eliminating 13 terrorists in the past day through coordinated efforts involving aircraft, fighter jets, sniper fire, and tank fire.

During one particular airstrike, an aerial drone detected a terrorist squad inside a building near the troops, which led to the discovery of an underground tunnel route. Shortly afterward, an aircraft targeted the building and the tunnel, resulting in the elimination of several terrorists. In another strike, ground forces identified five terrorists engaging in suspicious activity nearby and neutralized them.

On Motzoei Shabbos, a rocket was launched from an area in Gaza where IDF troops were operating. In response, fighter jets and IDF artillery targeted the source of the launch.

Additionally, IDF special forces continued operations in the Hamad district in Khan Yunis, engaging in close-quarters combat with terrorists and receiving aerial support from the IAF. In the past day, forces raided operational centers where they seized AK-47s, grenades, and ammunition.

Over the preceding week, Israeli forces uncovered an extensive terror infrastructure, including a weapons factory, tunnel shafts, rocket launching positions, and command centers, both among and beneath residential areas. Substantial amounts of weapons, explosives, and military equipment were confiscated.

This complex of 40 residential buildings, financed by Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, served as the backdrop for these operations.

In Khan Yunis, ground forces eliminated 17 terrorists during a series of strikes in the area over the past day. In one operation, troops directed an aircraft to strike a building where three terrorists were identified planting explosive devices.

Furthermore, troops directed an aircraft to eliminate two armed terrorists, while another terrorist was killed by tank fire upon exiting a military structure. In northern Gaza, Israeli fighter jets also targeted terrorist infrastructure in the areas of Jabalya and Beit Hanoun overnight.
