The IDF concluded on Thursday a three-month operation in Khan Yunis, leading to the withdrawal of the Paratroopers Brigade from the Gaza Strip. Other forces have taken their place in the area. During a ceremony, Brig. Gen. Dan Goldfus, the commander of the 98th Division, commended the Paratroopers Brigade for its accomplishments, urging pride in their achievements.

Despite the withdrawal, Gen. Goldfus emphasized that the mission is ongoing, stating, “We have not yet finished the war and our duties; we continue to dismantle Hamas, destroy its systems above and below ground, strike it and defeat it.” The transition sees the Bislamach Brigade, responsible for Infantry Corps Professions and Squad Commanders training, assuming the responsibilities in Khan Yunis.

The IDF is yet to decide on the next deployment location for the Paratroopers Brigade, keeping its focus on strategic objectives in ongoing operations.
