IDF Probes Civilian Casualties in Gaza Strike During Aid Distribution

The IDF said Thursday that it is examining reports of a potential Israeli strike on a gathering of Palestinians awaiting humanitarian aid in Gaza City.

According to Gaza’s Hamas-run Health Ministry officials, there were numerous casualties in the incident. Dr. Jadallah Shafai from Shifa Hospital’s nursing department mentioned approximately 50 deaths and 250 injuries, but the exact toll remains unverified as of now.

Meanwhile, the IDF reported that humanitarian aid airdropped by the Jordanian military to northern Gaza on Thursday morning accidentally landed in Israeli territory. The IDF clarified that due to wind conditions, some aid packages ended up in Israeli areas, emphasizing that there is no concern of a security incident arising from this accidental occurrence.
