IDF Confirms Death of Soldier by Anti-Tank Missile in Gaza Raid

In a tragic incident during a raid on Gaza’s Zeytun neighborhood, Major Eyal Shuminov, Hy”d, of the Givati Brigade lost his life to an anti-tank missile on Shabbos.
The IDF forces identified and eliminated a Hamas terrorist on the roof of a building, leading to the unfortunate demise of Major Shuminov, 24, a company commander in the Shaked Battalion (424) of the Givati Brigade, from Karmiel.
Shuminov’s death marks the loss of 238 IDF soldiers since the commencement of the ground invasion in Gaza. Posthumously, he was promoted from the rank of captain to major.
