Contraband Smuggling Foiled at Jordan Border Crossing

Israeli authorities intercepted a drug smuggling attempt into Jordan on Wednesday, as they apprehended a 27-year-old man at the Yitzchak Rabin border crossing in Eilat.

The suspect, a resident of the Bedouin town of Rahat in the Negev, was found in possession of seven kilograms of contraband, during a standard vehicle inspection conducted by the Israel Tax Authority.
