Frigidaire has issued a recall of nearly 400,000 side-by-side refrigerators due to an ice bucket assembly component which can cause plastic pieces to fall into the ice dispenser and cause a choking and laceration hazard, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission announced on Friday, February 8.

Consumers who have purchased the products, which include 17 models, should discontinue using the icemaker immediately and contact Electrolux Group, the parent company of Frigidaire, to request a replacement ice bucket assembly component free of charge.

The company has set up an email to handle request at IceBucketRecall@electrolux.com.
