Report: Sinwar Excluded From Hostage Deal Response Amid Communication Breakdown

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was not involved in formulating the response to Israel’s proposed hostage deal, Kan News reported.
According to the report, approximately ten days ago, communication with Sinwar was lost, and decisions within the Hamas leadership have been made independently of his input. Sources in the security establishment note that not only has contact been cut off between Sinwar and his organization’s members, but also with the mediators involved in the ongoing hostage negotiations.
While the IDF has been making progress in Khan Yunis, Sinwar’s hometown, over the past two months, the whereabouts of the arch-terrorist remain undisclosed.
