Burglar Smashes Window of BP Store, Steals $5K From Register

Police and Shmira are looking for a burglar who smashed a window and stole thousands in cash from a Boro Park store early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at 4:04 a.m., at the Health Emporium on 50th Street near 13th Avenue. Surveillance footage obtained by Shmira shows the burglar first attempting to bodily break the glass, but he is unsuccessful. He then takes a rock and smashes it, and runs through the open window.
The burglar took about $5,000 from the cash register, before fleeing on foot, westbound on 50th street.
