London police are investigating a suspected arson attack at the office of Mike Freer, the Conservative Member of Parliament representing the North Finchley and Golders Green constituencies. Both areas are well-known for their Jewish communities, and Freer has consistently supported the Jewish state and the communities he represents, particularly in the aftermath of the Hamas massacre on October 7 and the subsequent rise in antisemitism.

Emergency services responded to a fire at Freer’s north London office on Sunday night. Although no one was present in the office at the time, significant property damage occurred. Freer expressed concern, highlighting that this suspected arson is one of several troubling incidents he has faced. In 2021, the individual who later murdered MP David Amess visited Freer’s constituency office, though Freer was not there.

The cause of the fire is actively under investigation, with authorities considering the possibility that it was started deliberately. A police spokesperson stated that further inquiries will be conducted to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
