Kensington Boy Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident

Police and Shomrim are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run accident that injured a boy in Kensington on Shabbos.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on East 3rd Street between Ave. F and Ditmas Avenue. Surveilance footage shows the 9-year-old boy running into the street and being hit by the oncoming car. The driver fled the scene.
The boy was hospitalized and had surgery for a broken femur.
Hatzalah reached out to Shomrim Intelligence, who reviewed surveillance footage and obtained the license plate of the driver. A source familiar with the case told Hamodia the driver is expected to be apprehended in the coming days. The source also said the plate has $11,000 in outstanding violations.
