IDF Artillery Units Enter Gaza, Target Hamas Sites in First Direct Operation

For the first time since the commencement of the war against the Hamas, IDF artillery units have penetrated into Gaza. While previously stationed at the Gaza border, the IDF on Sunday announced the units’ entry into the Strip.

The 282nd Fire Brigade initiated operations within Gaza, collaborating with the 188th Brigade combat team in the Shejaiya area. The operation targeted over 20 terrorist sites, including weapons depots, rigged structures, and Hamas’s military facilities, as noted in the IDF statement.
