Jewish Man Assaulted By Moped Riding Assailants In Crown Heights

(CrownHeights.info) – A Jewish man on Kingston Ave in Crown Heights became the victim of an assault Wednesday night after two moped riding assailants allegedly punched and kicked him.

According to reports, the identifiably Jewish man was standing on Empire Blvd and Kingston Ave around 11:20 p.m. when the two suspects, riding together on a moped, swerved near where he was standing. One of the suspects proceeded to assault the victim without an exchange of words. The pair then fled the scene.

The Jewish man immediately called Crown Heights Shomrim, who responded in less than a minute and quickly located the suspects.

“Our [volunteers] responded for an assault as these two perps on a moped punched and kicked the victim and made off,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “Despite a fast and large response, they managed to get away. Video and dash cam footage of perps was shared with NYPD. A report was filed by
[NYPD 71 Precinct].”

According to reports, the suspects had been driving with unsafe maneuvers and the Shomrim volunteers ultimately lost them.
