Arbel: Municipal Elections to Be Held on Jan. 30 in Most of Israel

Interior Minister Moshe Arbel announced Monday the rescheduling of municipal elections originally set for the end of October to Jan. 30, 2024.
However, Arbel clarified that in 100 communities and towns evacuated due to the war, elections will not take place on Jan. 30. These areas, which belong to 14 cities or regional councils, include places like Sderot near Gaza and Kiryat Shmona near Lebanon.
Arbel specified that elections in these regions will be postponed until at least 150 days after residents can safely return home.
