The IDF has altered its plans for its operations into the southern Gaza Strip, including the cities of Khan Younis and other areas, according to a report Channel 12 news.

After the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s last Thursday, November 30, when he instructed Israel to ensure the reduction of civilian casualties as it goes forward with its assault on Hamas in Gaza, the IDF “updated” and “made amendments” to its tactics for their expected increase of their operations in the southern Gaza Strip, according to an Israeli diplomatic official.

The Americans insisted that Israel must designate multiple safe zones in the combat area for civilians to avoid the hostilities and to minimize the displacement of Gazans. In addition, Israel was told to avoid targeting of “life-critical infrastructure” such as hospitals, power stations and water treatment plants.

“We did not ignore the American points, and this will become clear in the coming few days,” the official was quoted saying.

According to the report, Israel will allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza at the same levels as during the pause, or perhaps even increasing humanitarian aid of food, medicines, fuel and gas.
