Searches Turn Up Empty After Bomb Threats Made on NYC Synagogues

Four Manhattan synagogues received threatening emails early Friday morning warning of bombs inside the buildings. NYPD Inspector Richie Taylor told Hamodia that police searched the locations and did not find any suspicious materials. “The threats appear to be nonsense,” he said.

The emails were sent out between 5 and 6 a.m. Friday morning to synagogues in Lower, Midtown, and Upper Manhattan.

One email, sent to a synagogue in Washington Heights, read, “There are multiple explosives inside the Synagogue. These explosives will go off in a few hours and I will make history. I will make sure you all die, I will also slit your families throats and I will gouge their eyes out.”
