By Yoni Weiss
The family of Ravid Katz, Hy”d, who was thought to have been taken hostage during the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, received notification of his death on Tuesday after the IDF Rabbinate determined his death, apparently due to findings found in the field.
Ravid, 51, was the father of three, two children aged 9 and 12 and a four-month-old girl. His wife Revital and their children were barely saved after hiding in a neighbor’s safe room. After it was set on fire, they fled to another safe room, where they hid.
His sister Doron and his two nieces Raz and Aviv were released from Hamas captivity earlier this week.
