Jewish Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Truck in Flatbush

A pedestrian crossing Avenue P at East 19th Street in the Flatbush-Madison neighborhood of Brooklyn was struck by a truck and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The pedestrian, later identified as Erica Wajsman, 77 years old, was crossing Avenue P northbound while walking on East 19th Street when she was struck by a truck traveling eastbound on Avenue P.
Hatzalah responded to the scene, but was unable to save her. Misaskim and Chesed Shel Emes worked to provide proper kavod hameis.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene.
