German President Pledges 7M Euro for Rebuilding Burned Be’eri Gallery

During his visit to Kibbutz Be’eri alongside President Yitzchak Herzog on Monday, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier announced the German Parliament’s commitment to donating seven million euros for the reconstruction of the Be’eri gallery, which was devastated by Hamas on Oct. 7.

“Finding the words to convey what we’ve heard from witnesses and those who experienced the actions, the loss of lives, and the violence unleashed by Hamas on October 7 is challenging. In these days of mourning, as we honor the victims, we also focus on the future,” said Steinmeier.

He further expressed his intent to become an official partner in the reconstruction project.
