Moatzos Gedolei v’Chachmei Hatorah Call for Yom Tefillah for Monday, Erev Rosh Chodesh Kisleiv

The Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Agudas Yisrael, Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Degel Hatorah and Moetzes Chachmei Hatorah of Shas in Eretz Yisrael, as well as the he Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Agudas Yisrael of America, have joined together to call on Jews worldwide to come together for a Yom Tefillah on Monday, Erev Rosh Chodesh Kisleiv.

The proclamation asks for all Jews, including men, women and children to gather and pour out their hearts in prayer, with each kehillah reciting Tehillim or reciting the selichos for Yom Kippur Kattan (which is known to have the power to abolish decrees) in accordance with their own custom.

The proclamation requests that the tefillos be done with multitudes of people, and for the yeshivos and Bais Yaakovs to include grades 7 and up, and for the seminaries to join as well.

It suggests that women who have the ability to come to the ezras nashim and join the communal tefillos should do so; those who cannot come in person should join from wherever they are situated.

In Eretz Yisrael, major gatherings for boys are being arranged for 1:30 p.m. in all major cities: in Yerushalayim in the Belzer Beis Medrash, in Bnei Brak in the Viznitz Beis Medrash, in Modiin Illit in Yeshiva Ateret Shlomo, and in Beitar Illit in Beis Medrash Minyan Avreichim.

The tefillos will be available by call-in lines for those who cannot participate in person.
