BD’E – Harav Shimon Alster, Zt”l

Hamodia is saddened to report the petirah of Harav Shimon Alster, zt”l, who was niftar after an extended illness.
Harav Alster was a talmid of Harav Binyomin Paler, zt”l, and served as the magid shiur for second seder in Mesivta of Long Beach for many years. He later opened Yeshiva of Cliffwood, and was Mara D’Asra of Beis Medrash Torah U’tefillah in Flatbush.
The levayah is scheduled for Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Beis Medrash Torah U’tefillah at 3304 Bedford Ave (between Aves K and L). A second levayah will be held in Lakewood at Bais Yitzchok of Bais Medrash Govoha. Kevurah will be in Deans, NJ.
