Arab Media Blames Israel for Blast on Syria-Lebanon Border That Killed Five Terrorists
Five members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terror group were killed in an overnight explosion in Lebanon, near the border with neighboring Syria, two Lebanese security sources and one Palestinian security source told Reuters on Wednesday.
According to Arab media reports, the explosion was attributed to Israel.
Based in Syria, the PFLP-GC broke away from the better-known Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in 1968.
Over the past several years, Israel has launched airstrikes in Syria against Iran-backed terror organizations.
