IAF Strikes Terror Squad in Gaza
On Tuesday afternoon, an air strike in Gaza hit a terrorist squad carrying anti-tank guided missiles, according to the IDF.
The squad, members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group, was taking Anti-tank guided missiles by car to a launch pad in the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. IDF soldiers monitored the activity of the squad and struck it while they were on their way to the launch pad.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu reportedly approved the operation in a meeting with the Shin Bet last week. He, along with officials from the Defense Ministry, are planning on holding a press conference Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Netanyahu attended a security assessment meeting with leading military officials and heads of the defense and intelligence agencies, which will be followed by a cabinet meeting later in the day.
