Three Year Old Boy Airlifted After Near Drowning in Florida Pool
(JewishMiami.info) – A three-year-old Lubavitch boy was airlifted to the hospital Friday afternoon in extremely critical condition after nearly drowning in a condo pool in Bay Harbor Islands.
Hatzalah volunteers and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews rushed to the scene along the 1000 block of West Bay Harbor Drive around 4:30 p.m. for the child after he was found in the pool.
The child was transferred from Hatzalah’s care to a Miami-Dade Rescue helicopter, and was then airlifted In critical condition to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Crews were administering CPR on him as they were taking him away.
Due to the critical nature of the child’s condition, the name Rephael has been added.
