Teen Arrested for Allegedly Breaking Jewish Boy’s Nose in Crown Heights

Police have arrested a teen suspected of throwing a punch that broke a Jewish boy’s nose in a gang assault in in the Crown Heights in March.

The incident occurred on Monday, March 13, around 9:12 p.m. The two Jewish teen victims were walking on Carroll Street and Albany Avenue, when they were followed and stopped by a group of six hooded, masked teens. The group attempted to take money from the victims, and proceeded to assault them, with two of the group throwing punches at the Jewish teens.

Shomrim and 71st precinct police officers worked to track down surveillance footage, and have since arrested three suspects, who have been hit with charges including attempted robbery and gang assault.

On Wednesday, Shomrim tweeted that a fourth suspect has been arrested, whom authorities believe to be the one who actually threw a punch that broke a victim’s nose.

The suspect arrested is believed to be the teen in yellow reflective sleeves.
