Firefights in Tulkarm, ‘Brigade Commander’ Killed

IDF forces entered Ezbet Shofa near Tulkarm early this morning seeking known terrorists. When Amir Abu Khadijah, known locally as “the brigade commander” began shooting at the security forces, they responded, killing him.
Intelligence information had revealed Khadija’s location. He was involved in several shooting attacks against Israeli communities.
An aide, who was staying with Khadija in his hideout, turned himself in to the forces and was arrested.
“In the operation, weapons [including] an M-16 type weapon and the vehicle used by the wanted person to carry out the terrorist acts were seized,” said the IDF spokesperson.
