Jewish Teenager Robbed at Knifepoint in Crown Heights

A Jewish teenager was robbed in broad daylight at knifepoint in the heart of Crown Heights Monday afternoon.

At around 3:00 p.m., a 13-year-old Orthodox Jewish boy was walking on Empire Boulevard between Troy and Schenectady Avenues, when a gang of three older teenagers approached him. One of them took out a knife and demanded that the startled boy give over his electric scooter.

After stealing the scooter, the suspects continued on their way. Baruch Hashem the victim was not injured.

The suspects reportedly did not use any antisemitic language during the incident.

Police and Shmira were called and arrived at the scene, but were unable to locate the suspects. Surveillance footage was discovered with the help of Shmira and Shomrim, showing the three suspects.

Police and Shmira are looking for the group.
