For Third Straight Week, Tel Aviv Sees Demonstration Against Judicial Reforms

Thousands of Israelis turned out to a protest in Tel Aviv on Motzoei Shabbos for the third consecutive weekend.

The latest protests prompted police to approve plans to deploy 1,000 officers in the city and block vehicle access to major roads in the area.

Politicians in attendance included opposition leader and former Prime Minister Yair Lapid and former Defense Minister Benny Gantz.

Earlier this month, Justice Minister Yariv Levin announced a plan to hand more powers to the Knesset in appointing judges and overriding High Court decisions.
