Hamas Terrorist to Complete Life Sentence
Hamas terrorist Nael Barghouti will serve out his life sentence, although he was freed following the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner swap, and later rearrested, a military court has ruled.
When he was released in 2011 he had served 33 years for his part in the murder of an Israeli bus driver. He was one of the longest-held Palestinians. He was arrested in 1978 at the age of 20.
In 2014 he was again arrested in a manhunt for those responsible for the kidnapping and killing of three Israeli teens, Naftali Fraenkel, Eyal Yifrach and Gilad Shaar, Hy”d, in Halhul, north of Chevron.
The IDF say a military court has reinstated Barghouti’s original sentence on appeal, life plus 18 years.
