Wesley Hills Receives Large Sum to Build Sidewalks

As part of a federally-funded program aimed at encouraging walking and cycling, 75 areas of New York are receiving grants to build sidewalks. The Hudson Valley is getting $38 million, of which, Wesley Hills will receive $1.79 million, Rockland Daily reports.
Plans were approved to build sidewalks on Willow Tree Road.
Previously, in 2014, the government granted $2.3 million to both Wesley Hills and Nyack together, and Wesley Hills used the money to build sidewalks on East Willow Street.
The grant will cover 80% of the cost, as it did in 2014.
