When Yossie Hecht (Yosef Chaim ben Devorah Leah), a beloved yeshiva bachur at Yeshiva Darchei Torah, took ill, his friends and the entire Far Rockway-Five Towns community came to his aid. This week, he received a custom built van which will can be operated manually. As Rabbi Feiner said, Yossie is a person who is constantly doing for others, and he is confident that this new acquisition is “tov lo vetov le’acheirim – good for him and for others,” and the proper brachah to recite is hatov vehameitiv rather than shehechiyanu.
