Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Appointments Open in NYC

The state will begin distributing the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in mass vaccination sites throughout New York City, including the Javits center in Manhattan and the Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

Both sites will be open 24 hours a day for the first time, in a pilot program to encourage people to sign up for overnight appointments, WCBS 880 reported.

Appointments for vaccine appointments in the Bronx can be access via phone (1-833-SomosNY) or online. Appointments run from 8 p.m. Thursday night to 7 a.m. Friday morning.

The Javits Center will begin distributing the Johnson & Johnson vaccine starting Friday night and through Saturday. New Yorkers who are eligible for vaccine can sign up for an appointment starting Thursday 8 a.m. either by phone (1-833-NYS-4-VAX or 1-833-697-4829) or online.

New York is expecting a shipment of 165,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
