Israeli labs working on possible vaccines for coronavirus came under a cyberattack last week, Channel 12 News reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, the hackers sought to disrupt the research process rather than steal any data or findings.
However, these efforts have resulted in little to no actual harm, the report said.
Several Israeli labs and universities are working on a coronavirus vaccine.
This cyberattack apparently came amid another cyberattack targeting Israeli websites last Thursday, which saw hackers deface many Israeli sites with images and videos depicting Tel Aviv going up in flames.
Those videos came with a message: “The countdown of Israel destruction has begun since a long time ago.”
