Reminder to Change Smoke Detector Batteries

As in past years, the FDNY is urging all home owners and apartment dwellers to change the batteries of their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when they change the clock for Daylight Savings Time. FDNY states that 70% of all fatal NYC fires happen in homes which did not have proper working smoke detectors.
