Black Box From Ethiopian Airlines Flight Found, But Damaged

Ethiopia’s state-affiliated Fana Broadcasting Corporate reported Monday that the black box from the crashed Ethiopian Airlines plane has been found.

An airline official, however, told The Associated Press that the box is partially damaged and that “we will see what we can retrieve from it.”

The official spoke on condition of anonymity for lack of authorization to speak to the media.

The passenger jet bound for Nairobi crashed minutes after take-off, killing all 157 people on board and raising questions about the safety of the Boeing 737 MAX 8, a new model that also crashed in Indonesia in October.
