The Kulanu party will take a few days off from politicking, as it mourns the tragic death of Mrs. Naomi Falkman, a”h, the mother of Kulanu MK Roi Falkman, who was killed when she was hit by a truck Tuesday night. “We will not release materials or make any public comments about issues” on Wednesday and Thursday, the day of the elder Falkman’s funeral, Kulanu head Moshe Kahlon said.

Naomi Falkman’s levayah will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Yarqon Cemetery in Petach Tikvah.

Naomi Falkman, 78, was killed when she left the headquarters of Kulanu in Tel Aviv Tuesday night. She had emerged from the building and was hit as she was crossing the street. MK Falkman said that “she gave me the opportunity as a child to get to know the Land of Israel. She was a wonderful grandmother to my three children, and a wonderful mother. I was not an easy kid to raise, but she invested everything she could in me and turned me into the person I am today. For this I owe her eternally.”

Many MKs and political officials sent their condolences to Falkman. “I and my wife send our condolences from the bottom of our hearts,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu wrote in a message to Falkman. “Together with many others we hope to strengthen you at this difficult and mournful time.”
