Cuomo, de Blasio Order Flags Lowered for Bush
Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio have ordered government flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of George H.W. Bush, the nation’s 41st president who died on Friday.
Cuomo, a Democrat, said in a statement Saturday that the Republican president was “a great unifier of Americans, always putting country before party.” De Blasio, also a Democrat, tweeted that Bush had “devoted his life to serving our nation.”
