BD’E Reb Yosef Reichbard Z”l

On 7 Kislev, a large contingent of relatives, friends and associates gave the kavod acharon to Reb Yosef Reichbard Z”l as they attended his levayah and accompanied him to kevurah in Beis Hachaim of Viznitz in Bnei Brak.

Reb Yosef was known as someone whose gentle middos glowed as an example for all who knew him. His father, Reb Liebel z”l was a prominent chassid of Ger, and his mother was the daughter of Harav Yehuda Leib Ha-Levi Ashlag Zt”l, known as the Baal Hasulam for his renowned pirush on the Zohar Hakadosh.

After his marriage and establishing his home, he made his learning the focus of his life and his business transitory, as he finished Shas, Shulchan Aruch, and even studied the Zohar with his grandfather’s pirush.

He dedicated much of his time to various issues of the community, and was instrumental in helping establish several communities in outlying areas, including the cities of Bet Shemesh, Elad, Chatzor and Kiryat Gat. In addition, he assisted many people with the advice he dispensed along with his generous support of many needy people.
