The yeshivah world was plunged into sadness upon learning of the sudden petirah of Hagaon Harav Yitzchok Paler, zt”l, Rosh Yeshivah, Yeshivas Mekor Chaim of Lakewood, late Sunday night.

Rav Paler passed away after a sudden heart attack. He was 67 at his petirah.

Harav Yitzchak Paler, zt”l

Harav Yitzchok was the son of Hagaon Harav Binyomin Paler, zt”l, the previous Rosh Yeshivah, and founder of the yeshivah. Rav Binyomin founded the yeshivah in Brooklyn, and in 2012 the yeshivah moved to Lakewood.

The levayah of Harav Yitzchok will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday from his yeshivah in Lakewood, and from there the mittah will be flown to Eretz Yisrael, where he will be buried on Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalayim.
