ShopRite Sells Winning NJ Powerball Jackpot

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) —

A single ticket sold at a Hackensack grocery store won the Powerball jackpot Saturday worth about $315.3 million.

The NJ Lottery ticket for Saturday’s drawing sold at a Shoprite has a $183.2 million cash value. John White, the lotto’s director, encouraged the winner to sign the back of the ticket, make a copy of both sides and put it in a safe place, and then contact lottery headquarters.

“This is life-changing money,” White said. “They may want to seek legal and financial advice before coming to see us.”
