Christie: I’ll Keep Advice to Trump on Prosecutor Private

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he would give the Trump administration advice on New Jersey’s next federal prosecutor but he’s not sharing any names publicly.

Christie, a Republican who served as U.S. attorney for New Jersey from 2002 to 2008, was asked about the state’s next federal prosecutor during a winter storm briefing Tuesday.

New Jersey U.S Attorney Paul Fishman stepped down on Friday after the Justice Department asked for the resignations of 46 prosecutors appointed by ex-President Obama.
