Christie: I’ll Keep Advice to Trump on Prosecutor Private

PLUCKEMIN, N.J. (AP) —

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he would give the Trump administration advice on New Jersey’s next federal prosecutor but he’s not sharing any names publicly.

Christie, a Republican who served as U.S. attorney for New Jersey from 2002 to 2008, was asked about the state’s next federal prosecutor during a winter storm briefing Tuesday.

New Jersey U.S Attorney Paul Fishman stepped down on Friday after the Justice Department asked for the resignations of 46 prosecutors appointed by ex-President Obama.
