Israel Opens Water Week in Delhi

Israel opens its exhibition at India Water Week in the capital Delhi beginning on Monday, part of the two countries’ growing cooperation in military and civilian technological development.

Israel’s agriculture minister Uri Ariel will inaugurate the event with the Indian Water Minister Uma Bharti.

The Israeli exhibit will be operated by five experts from government and academia, along with representatives of eleven companies in the water industry who will demonstrate through simulations innovations in irrigation, desalination, purification, measurement and management for municipalities and farms.

Apart from his participation at the event in Delhi, Ariel will probably travel to Haryana and Mumbai to promote awareness of Israel’s cutting edge water conservation and agriculture technology.

“We are looking forward to start a new center of excellence in Haryana and Mr. Ariel will inaugurate it during his visit,” Ohad Horsandi, spokesperson for the Embassy of Israel, said.
