Terrorist Shoots at Offices in Saudi Arabia, Six Dead

RIYADH (Reuters) -

A terrorist opened fire in an education department office in southern Saudi Arabia on Thursday, killing six employees, a senior Saudi official said.

Authorities are treating the attack, which took place in the Jizan region, as criminal and the terrorist has been arrested, Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman General Mansour Turki said.

He said two people had also been wounded.

Saudi newspaper Sabq posted a picture of emergency vehicles outside a four-story building.

Saudi Arabia has seen several incidents of deadly violence in recent months. A suicide bombing and gun attack on Shiite Muslims killed at least four people in eastern Saudi Arabia in January.
