The No. 7 Subway Line Due to Open After Years of Delays

NEW YORK (AP) —

After years of delays, the newest station on the No. 7 subway line will open next month.

The 34th Street-Hudson Yards station will debut on Sept. 13. The line will extend from its current terminus at Times Square to 11th Avenue on Manhattan’s far west side. The 1.5-mile extension will be the only subway line south of 59th Street to provide service west of Ninth Avenue.

Manhattan’s far west side is undergoing a major redevelopment with the construction of the 28-acre Hudson Yards retail and residential project.
