Bill Limits NJ Employers Snooping on Crime Records

TRENTON, N.J.

Employers in New Jersey might be barred from asking job applicants about their criminal records until after a job interview if Gov. Chris Christie signs the bill passed Thursday by both the Senate and Assembly, The Associated Press reported. Companies with fewer than 15 employees and jobs that require criminal background checks would be exempt.
