2 NYers Guilty of Passing Off Paper as Cash
Two men pleaded guilty Friday to passing off regular paper as money, saying it had been dyed either black or white and could be restored, The Associated Press reported. Eugene Cooper and Gooding Vincent face up to one year in prison for telling victims that stacks of paper were actually bills that have been dyed to sneak past authorities. They would ask for money to buy chemicals to restore the cash, promising to share it.
