D-Day Plane Heading to France for WWII Event
A WWII plane that dropped American paratroopers on Normandy headed back to France Thursday from its home in a New York museum for D-Day’s 70th anniversary, The Associated Press reported. The Douglas C-47, one of the last planes of its kind still flying, will be the only one from the U.S. participating in the June 6 event.
