Parents Charged for Leaving Children Unattended

A Long Island couple who left their three young children alone in a running, unlocked car for about an hour while shopping were arrested Sunday after a police officer found the 6-month-old boy, 5-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy in a parking lot, The Associated Press reported. Donald and Sarah Hayes pleaded not guilty and were released without bail.
