NYers Can Now Get Email, Text Alerts for Car Registration

New York motorists can now receive email and text reminders from the Department of Motor Vehicles notifying them when their registrations or inspections are due to expire, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday. Customers can sign up online, by mail, or at a DMV kiosk. DMV will also automatically enroll any customer who completed an online transaction in the past two years.
